Success through Strategy and Implementation

Agency: Coursera

Role: Web Development / UX

Coursera Case Study

When I joined Coursera, the company was focused on showcasing the transformative impact of its online courses. In addition to managing their blog and developing campaign microsites, I created an enterprise-level website for their business department.

At the time, the department relied on a CRM landing page to promote its enterprise offering. A more comprehensive solution was needed that would allow the company to better reach its target audience.

Working with the management, design, and technology teams, I was involved in early conversations to help scope an enterprise-level website. I participated in selecting technologies and implementing solutions that would evolve and adapt in a rapidly changing environment. Data analysis and early discussions were crucial in keeping our efforts focused on important goals and improving the website’s performance and conversion rate.

Our small but nimble team implemented a phased strategy to launch the website in a short timeframe. The result exceeded expectations, enabling the project’s stakeholders to easily manage content and experiment with new features. Today, Coursera is a leader in online education, with the business department experiencing impressive growth. According to the Head of Global Enterprise Marketing, our early-stage efforts took Coursera’s enterprise web presence “from 1 to 100.”
